How we compare

Good tools, honestly compared

These are capable platforms and some may suit you better than us; we say so below, per product. We checked every claim on this page against each vendor’s own public materials in July 2026. If something is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

None of the ten platforms we checked publish WhatsApp or group-chat capture. Every one relies on staff entering data into its own app or forms.

None publish general meeting transcription with speaker separation. One records pre-task safety briefings its users deliberately start.

Only two publish their prices, both per user. We publish ours: per site, unlimited people, from £19.

That is the whole comparison in one line: every platform below asks your team to put data in. Ours listens to the job you are already running.

Gather

AI site diary and NEC records platform, born on UK rail.

Where they shine: Contract-aware records for major frameworks: structured shift diaries feeding NEC compensation-event workflows, with serious infrastructure credentials.

Choose them if

You run Tier 1 infrastructure frameworks and your teams will complete structured shift records every day.

Choose us if

You want the record to build itself from the conversation your site already has, meetings included, at a published per-site price.

Procore

The broadest all-in-one construction management platform.

Where they shine: Running the whole project in one system: financials, RFIs, submittals, drawings, quality and safety, with a huge integration marketplace.

Choose them if

You are standardising a mid-size or enterprise business on one platform for everything, with budget to match.

Choose us if

You want the evidence layer under whatever you already run: the chat, the meetings and the diary, captured without anyone filling in a form.

Autodesk Construction Cloud

Construction management and common data environment in the Autodesk ecosystem.

Where they shine: BIM-centred delivery: an ISO 19650-certified CDE with deep links from design models through to field work.

Choose them if

Your workflows live in the Autodesk design ecosystem and you need the certified CDE around them.

Choose us if

You need the day-to-day human record their forms never see, named to ISO 19650 so it files straight into your CDE.

Oracle Aconex

The formal correspondence and document CDE for major capital projects.

Where they shine: Neutral, auditable formal correspondence between many parties on megaprojects, with unlimited users per project.

Choose them if

You are administering a major capital project where every party needs a neutral formal-correspondence platform.

Choose us if

You know the truth of a job lives in the informal record, and you want that captured with the same discipline as the formal one.

PlanRadar

Plan-pinned defect and ticket management with site diary features.

Where they shine: Snagging against drawings: tickets pinned to plans and BIM models, mature and widely adopted, with published pricing.

Choose them if

Defect management pinned to drawings is your main need and per-user pricing suits a small inspection team.

Choose us if

You want the whole team on the record without counting seats, and the day captured as it happens rather than as tickets.

HammerTech

Safety and site operations platform: inductions, permits, pre-task plans.

Where they shine: End-to-end HSE workflows with flat-fee, unlimited-user pricing and free subcontractor access.

Choose them if

Safety compliance workflows are the job to be done and you want every operative inducted through one system.

Choose us if

You need the whole day on the record, not just the safety paperwork: progress, delays, instructions, deliveries, decisions.

Buildots

AI progress tracking from 360° camera walks measured against the BIM model.

Where they shine: Objective, element-level progress measurement: what has physically been built, compared to the model, with delay forecasting.

Choose them if

You need measured visual progress against BIM on large projects and the hardware programme that comes with it.

Choose us if

You need what was said, decided and instructed, not just what got built, and you need it without cameras or site walks.

OpenSpace

360° photo documentation mapped automatically to floor plans.

Where they shine: Effortless visual capture: walk the site with a camera and every location is photo-documented and time-stamped.

Choose them if

Visual walkthrough documentation is your priority and a weekly camera walk fits how your sites run.

Choose us if

The argument that costs money is rarely about what a wall looked like: it is who said what, when. That is the record we keep.

Fieldwire

Field task management on drawings, by Hilti.

Where they shine: Fast, offline-capable task and punch-list management against plans, with a free tier and published pricing.

Choose them if

Task coordination against drawings for a small field team is the need, and per-user pricing works for you.

Choose us if

Tasks are a slice of the day. We keep the whole day, from everyone, without anyone opening an app to do it.

Raken

Daily reporting app for US field teams.

Where they shine: Polished daily reports: field staff fill structured dailies on their phones and branded PDFs go out automatically.

Choose them if

Your field teams will reliably fill in a daily report app and US-style dailies are the deliverable.

Choose us if

Your dailies should write themselves from what the team already said, with the original evidence attached to every line.
